ABOUT THE WATCH
The Dalton collection is sprung out of the large heritage of Swedish aviation. Inspired by the authentic Swedish aircraft designs, the Dalton watch is a reference watch among Swedish pilot watches. The watch was originally designed for the 212th fighter jet squadron, callsign 'Dalton', and collects details and inspiration from the different Swedish fighter jets flown by the squadron throughout the years.
It features several details inspired by Swedish aviation history. The numerals are designed to assemble the instruments and gauges in cockpit found in Swedish military aircrafts. The silhoutte of the JAS 39 Gripen is featured on the red center positioned chronograph second hand.
The watch runs on a movement from Seiko called VK63 which is a combination of modern quartz technology and traditional mechanical engineering. Hour- minute and second hands runs on battery and the chronograph runs on mechanical parts with a 1/5 second sweeping hand. This hybrid movement makes the Dalton watch a very reliable, accurate and durable wristwatch. The top surface of the sapphire crystal has a coating protecting it from stains and fingerprints while the bottom surface has a double anti-reflective coating to create a clear and sharp visibility. The watch is waterproof to 10 atm / 100 meters with a screwed down crown.
The left sub dial shows elapsed minutes and is synchronized with the center-positioned second hand showing elapsed seconds. The lower sub dial shows live seconds and the right sub dial the 24 hours of the day.
