THE STORY OF DALTON
The original Dalton collection was the first ever by MALM. It was developed in collaboration with the 212th Fighter Jet Squadron, callsign "Dalton". Since its debut in 2019, the Dalton has evolved through various designs and collaborations, establishing itself as a trusted timepiece for pilots and enthusiasts worldwide.
The new Dalton model has a smaller 38 mm case and is operated by the reliable Seiko NH34 automatic movement. It introduces the much-requested UTC (Universal Time Coordinated) complication, allowing you to track two time zones, a popular feature in classic pilot watches.
Inspired by Sweden's renowned aviation history, the Dalton UTC Automatic 38 incorporates design elements from iconic Swedish jets like the Lansen, Draken, Viggen, and Gripen. Details from these aircraft, such as numerals, grip surfaces, gauges, hands, and shapes, are carefully integrated into the watch’s design. While the new 38 mm automatic version offers a fresh take, it stays true to the identity and heritage of the original Dalton collection, celebrating over 80 years of Swedish aviation excellence.
