The Dalton 2 is the new and improved version of the very popular and characteristic Dalton watch that originally was released in 2019 in collaboration with the Swedish fighter jet squadron call sign 'Dalton'. It has a 41 mm sized watch case that combines smooth curves with sharp edges. It has a balanced combination of satin brushed and polished surfaces that creates an exclusive yet discreet look.
The two crown guards are inspired by the two intakes of the Swedish fighter aircraft Jas 39 Gripen. The watch face and dial are heavily inspired by various instruments and gauges in the Swedish fighter aircrafts that have been used in the Swedish Air Force throughout the years. Numbers and indices have been collected from different cockpit gauges and has been equipped the powerful Swiss SuperLuminova C3 lume which gives you the best possible glow effect in darkness.
The watch runs on a movement from Seiko called VK63 which is a combination of modern quartz technology and traditional mechanical engineering. Hour- minute and second hands runs on battery and the chronograph runs on mechanical parts with a 1/5 second sweeping hand. This hybrid movement makes the Dalton watch a very reliable, accurate and durable wrist watch. The top surface of the sapphire crystal has a coating protecting it from stains and fingerprints while the bottom surface has a double anti-reflective coating to create a clear and sharp visibilty. The watch is waterproof to 10 atm / 100 meters with a screwed down crown.
The left subdial shows elapsed minutes and is synchronized with the center-positioned second hand showing elapsed seconds. The lower subdial shows live seconds and the right subdial the 24 hours of the day.
