The Catalina Blue Bronze Wreck Chronograph is the same watch as the Catalina Blue Bronze Aeronautical Chronograph but with a heavy forced patina added to the watch case and buckle. The inspiration behind this crazy bronze watch is to illustrate the looks of the amphibuous Catalina aircraft after lying on the bottom of the Baltic Sea all these years.
The Catalina watch case has been crafted in the high quality bronze material CuSn8, which is characterized as a very pure bronze alloy with extremely little content of impurities. CuSn8 is known for its excellent spring properties and high strength.
The watch runs on a movement from Seiko called VK64 which is a combination of quartz technology and traditional mechanical engineering. Hour- minute and second hands runs on battery and the chronograph runs on the mechanical parts with a 1/5 second sweeping hand.
