MALM Watches have made around 50 watches for the pilots, operators and members from the Swedish Police Air Support Unit. Every pilot watch is made unique with personal engravings.
The Police Air Support unit is a helicopter unit within the Swedish Police and was founded in 1964. The Air Support unit’s main tasks are searching for criminals, participate in rescue missions and transports. The Police has a total of nine helicopters stationed in several bases, operating all over Sweden. The missions are mainly rescue missions where the police need quick transport, get an overview of large areas or areas with tough terrain. Beside the pilot the helicopter crew also consists of a tactical operator who handles all tactical equipment such as thermal cameras, spotlights, photo and video equipment and other gear used during missions.
